Don't just hang up, that's rude. Still try to be couteous to the person. Just say you left something cooking on the stove and it's burning, or there is someone you know at the door that have come for a visit and you have to take care of them.

as politely as possible. :o) think up a good excuse! or make up a bunch of good excuses, throw them in a bowl and pick one when the time comes.

If you dont like the person then presumably you dont want any more calls from that person. Just tell them not to disclose any sensitive personal information because the high priestess of the scandinavian poodle mafia has your phone tapped because she fears you are planning to overthrow her. This person wont call back.

tell them you have to go somwhere and that you will call them back later and then never do and when the call dont answer or when they call always say ur buisy...or just hang up on them they will get the point"!
