It means he knows that you did it because you wanted to and he appreciates the fact that you chose him to do it with. He is a nice guy.

he's nice. he had been thinking about doing that 'intimate moment' for awhile probably. he is courteous and nice. KEEP HIM AROUND...and dont **** him over, or ill hunt you down

he's a very nice guy and he respects you so don't worry. To him it was something that showed you love him a lot...you sacrificed somehow.
