NO!

What causes hair loss?

Hair loss is believed to be primarily caused by a combination of the following:

* aging
* change in hormones
* illness
* family history of baldness
* burns
* trauma

However, hair loss is not caused by the following:

* poor circulation to the scalp
* vitamin deficiencies
* dandruff
* excessive hat-wearing
* a gene passed on from an individual's maternal grandfather

No. But believing such a myth will cause your brain to fall out.

And they teach you a lot of things at beauty school, to the girl above. Does that mean any of them are true? Do they teach about corrupt US governments in History or Social Studies at public school? No. And baldness does not skip a generation. Your mom is an idiot, no offense. My grandfather is partially bald, so is my dad, and my oldest brother has a receding hairline. Not to mention the bald gene come from the women's side. It's like mono...you can carry it an not have any symptoms, so the same is true with baldness. Men are affected by it more, just like people with weak amune systems are affected by mono more. Women can experience baldness and hair thinning but the bald gene symptoms are more present in men. And I didn't even go to beauty school...

http://www.snopes.com/oldwives/hairgrow.asp Scroll down to where it says "Hats Cause Baldness". So if you choose to believe otherwise...I wonder what else you would believe. That pigs can fly?

I went to beauty school back in the late 80's and we were told it does becuz the scalp cant breath. Its pretty much hereditary though. My mom says it skips a generation, just because your father was bald dsnt mean you will be, Look at you grandfathers and uncles whats the percentage? Also is your hairline receeding yet? Lastly dont brush to often it puts stress on your scalp. although do brush at least 2* a day. ps; I think bald men r sexy

No, it does not. There is plenty of blood supply in the scalp, even when wearing a hat.
