I have a tooth in the front (beside my 2 front teeth) that is too far back, and makes my smile really crooked. Would it be cheaper to get a veneer (or whatever else) to replace that one tooth rather than get braces?

They have a new thing now called INVISILINE, ask your dentist. It is a plastic mold that is fitted for your teeth and you where it when you are home.

The veneers fit over your natural tooth frame so it would be hard to use it as a corrective for a crooked tooth. Invisalign, braces, sometimes a retainer can do it. You really need to consult with a dentist, possibly an orthodontist and get some options. I just spent $6,000 on 6 veneers so it really depends on what you want.....keep in my that with the veneers, if you were to get just one that they would have to match the shade exactly to your other teeth.

I totally sympathize! I like to smile but one of my front teeth slightly overlaps the other. Just enough to drive me mad! My hubs and dentist say not to venner it cause it weakens the tooth and has to be replace every 8-10 years (or you could end up with a rotten little nubbin.ew.) So it would be cheaper in the short run to go with the veneer, but with a high possiblity of ick in the future. (Personally I have given up on my goofy smile. I am goofy so it works for me *sigh*)

Braces are the only way to go. You get just one set of teeth. So don't let some yahoo shave down your teeth and put some fake cap on, that will only last a few years.

I would say go the old fashon rout and get the braces. If you get something put ove an already existing problem chances are you will have to have it fixed more than once. Fix the teeth you have and then take care of them for less problems later.
