What happens if you boil one for hours?

My friends and I got drunk and decided to boil some hotdogs for a snack and we all passed out and we woke up and the house was completely full of smoke. It reaked for weeks. I wouldn't recommend overcooking a hot dog.

Why boil a hot dog? Grill the "pop open"s till they just pop a little.
Gotta go with the white hot though - can't do a red hot.

since it is a processed meat, it will eventually disintegrate into mush--- otherwise, it only bursts if u slightly overboil it

It will explode. haha
Well split open anyway.
Boiling makes them watery and takes out the flavor.
I always cook them in a dry skillet or under the broiler.

It will be soggy, split open, and tasteless. Depending on whether it was all meat, or made with fillers, it might just be a pile of mush.

After a while it will start to fall apart, and you'll have a hot dog soup.

of course you can over do anything if you boil something for hours I would imagine that it would break apart or something to that effect

it will catch on fire .. best way to know is when it splits .. that's the farthest you should go
If you are going to boil it for an hour have the fire department on speed dial
