I'm too old for the service so my answer is pointless, like some wars. I would have volunteered for a war with iran in 1979 during the 'hostage crises' but it never came to that. I think the US should have taken out Saddam during the first gulf war after Iraq invaded Kuwait. Both times were missed opportunities to be morally right in starting a war.

My number wouldn't be pulled, because
1, Im not a citizen only a permenant resident
2, im a farmer
But if i did have a number and they pulled it i would go. I think that if the draft was bought back they should draft all the people currently on unemployment, and if we still dont have enough troops then we should draft people from the current work force, other wise you will see a decline in the economy.

I am currently enlisted in the army. I've been to Iraq and have no problem with going to Iran. If for some reason I got out of the military and was called up for a draft, I'd be happy to go and serve my country.

Probably. It will most likely be single males between the ages of 19 and 32 although some say the armed forces are likely to take men all the way up to 45 if they want to enlist. I think a draft should be mandatory. It isn't right to put the burden of defending this country on the shoulders of a small group of courageous people. If you live in this country you should have to defend it. If you don't want to defend it you should be forced to leave! Any man who will not fight for his country is a lazy, cowardly, slug!

My husband served this Great country in the Marine Corps, 8 years (1st Gulf War) He would reenlist this very moment. My brother over a year in Iraq (Army) wants to go back ,but can not due to medical reasons. And me I would gladly serve my country if given the chance. No that I haven't already being a Marine Corps wife! Semper Fi Marines & God Bless our country & President Bush!

You won't have a choice, Running to Canada or Mexico won't help since you now need a passport.
Running is not Patriotic. Serve your country with pride.
And besides if Bush is going to do all that he better hurry up.
Once Hill takes over it won't happen, and the Arabs won't respect her ( She's a Woman) , so you'd be better off to build a nuclear bomb shelter in your back yard. Than worry about what Bush is going to do.

If a draft is initiated then this war has gone way too far. The war is being dragged on. Why would they need to increase the troops anymore then they already are? We need to save our Americans, not send them off to a war that's going no where. All they need to do is make a presence in Iran not blow up every little thing they see wrong. I know I'm a girl but my boyfriend is worried that might happen. I told him hell no he's not going.

i'd be first in line. and this would not be a pointless war. nothing up to this point has been pointless. these people are out to kill ALL of us.. radical islam teaches you to do one of 3 things to an "infadel". 1) convert them by any means, 2) rule them and tax them, 3) kill them... i don't know about you, but none of those will work for me. and i'm pretty sure even the non-supporters wouldn't want it either. people need to wake up and do their own research and stop jumping on bandwagons or listening to mass media. the truth is out there, you just gotta find it. people need to quit being so ignorant. islamo-fascists are laughing at us and thinking they have a chance because we are becomming a nation of panzies. and i for one, would rather take the fight to them instead of sitting around waiting for another 9/11. male, 28
