...there be legal abortions preformed in sterile, safe clinics by trained doctors where the posibiliby of the woman dieing is very small...
or
Have abortion be illegal and, as a result, have abortions preformed in back allys with diry coat hangers by people who porbably don't know what they're doing, putting the woman at great risk of death?
Because if you get rid of the first, you will have the second, there is no way around it.
What would you choose?

Eds, you didn't answer the question either. The above are your only two choices. Either pick one or don't answer at all.

Legal abortion. The focus should be on having programs to have less abortions. Not make it illegal.
IT BS that a brilliant person like Rudy will have hard time getting past the fundies.

If it's going to happen (and it is), make it legal and safe. For most women, abortion is NEVER an easy choice. And no one who hasn't known the dread and panic of an unwanted pregnancy can fully appreciate what those women go through.
At the same time, I also think that we should maximize eduction on contraception AND counsel women who become pregnant unexpectedly on options other than abortion, such as adoption. Abortion has its place in a complex of support services to make sure that when it happens, it happens for a reason.

Clinics, of course. The foetus might not be self aware, but the mother is and her life shouldn't be put at risk.
Although abortion clinics are much more likely to be blown up by Christian fundamentalists than alleys are, so there's still a risk involved.

Abortions will stay legal. Those who pretend they are 'pro-life' don't care about the life of the actual living human in the abortion equation at all.
ALL childbirths are a risk to the life of the pregnant female. To force someone to endure childbirth against their wishes is way inhumane.

Legal abortions. Although I was young when Roe vs. Wade happened, I still remember the horror stories from my sister's friends about coat hangers.

Legal of course, it's not like during the time when it was illegal. Men no longer have to kick a girl down the stairs and hope for the best.

I would choose that Americans be ReSpOnSiBlE for their actions. If they are going to become pregnant that they not murder the BABY! Murder is just that. It is NOT an abortion, it is a cold blooded, calculated MURDER! Those who push for women's "choice" are FOR that murder and against our FATHER who is in Heaven.
