ITSY BITSY MONKEY
The Itsy Bitsy Monkey climbed up the coconut tree
Down came a coconut and hit him on his knee--- OWWWWW!
Out came a lion a'shakin' his shaggy mane
And the Itsy Bitsy Monkey climbed up the tree again.

TWINKLE TWINKLE TRAFFIC LIGHT
Twinkle, twinkle, traffic light
On the corner shining bright
Red means "stop",
Green means "go",
Yellow means "go nice and slow"
Twinkle, twinkle traffic light
On the corner shining bright

im a nursery nurse too and know the feeling!
how about
I will build a little house with 2 chimneys tall,
a sloping roof and a garden wall.
2 big gates that open wide,
2 tiny little windows you can peep inside.
i will build a little table big enough for 2,
2 cosy armchairs, 1 for me and 1 for you.
so knock on the door and walk right in,
for my little house is shiny like a bright new pin.

And
leo the lion is the king of the jungle, and his jaws are opening wide,
if you see him roaring, its bound to be a warning that you better run away and hide,
you better run away and hide,
you better run away and hide.... ROAR!
(the last 2 times you say 'run away and hide', sing it quieter each time, hide your eyes the last time, then roar at them! it makes them jump but they seem to love it every time!!)

youll have to guess at the tunes, tho!
how about

Im taking home a baby bumble bee,
wont my mummy be so proud of me
im taking a home a baby bumble bee.... OUCH! He stung me!

Im squashing up a baby bumble bee etc... eugh! Yucky!

Im wiping off a baby bumble bee etc... Thats better my hands are all clean again!

Obviously there are actions to all these songs, which you can do, just do what the words are saying!
Hope this helps!

A friend of mine's mom used to sing this to us when we were little. I just love it.

When the red red robin comes bob bob bobbin’ along, along
There’ll be no more sobbin’ when he keeps throbbin’ that old sweet song
Wake up, wake up you sleepyhead, get up, get up, get out of bed
Cheer up, cheer up, the sun is red, live, love, laugh and be happy

What if I’ve been blue, now I’m walking through fields of flowers
Rain may glisten but still I’ll listen for hours and hours
I’m just a kid again, doin’ what I did again, singin’ this song
When the red red robin comes bob bob bobbin’ along.

Hey diddle diddle
The cat play the fiddle
The jump over the moon
The dog laugh and laugh
And the fish ran away with the spoon

Ring a round the rosy
a pocket full of posies
Ashes Ashes they all fall down

London bridges falling down
falling down
falling down
london bridges falling down

Here are a couple "counting down" songs that my kids have liked:

There were (pick a number) on the bed and the little one said:
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.

Count this down to 1 repeating each time and then...

There was 1 in the bed and the little said:
"Good night."

Another:
Five green and speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating some most delicious bugs
YYYYUUUUMMMM YYYYUUUUMMMM

One jumped into the pool
Where it was nice and cool
Then there were Four green and speckled frogs
GGGGLLLLUUUUBBBB GGGGLLLLUUUUBBBB

Repeat on down to 1 and then
...
Then there were no green and speckled frogs.

How about this one?

One el-e-phant went out walk-ing
Step by step on a piece of string,
He thought it such a wonderful thing,
That he called for another el-e-phant.

Two el-e-phants went out walk-ing

and so on until you get to five elpephants.

Five el-e-phants went out walk-ing
Step by step on a piece of string
And do know what happened??
They ALL FELL OOOOOOVER!!!

Or this one:

Gl-ump! Went the little green frog one day,
Gl-ump! Went the little gren frog,
Gl-ump! Went the little green frog one day,
Glump glump glump glump glump.

And we all know that frog's go,
La de da de da, la de da de da,
La de da de da,
And we all know that frog's go,
La de da de da,
They don't go Glump, Glump, Glump!!!

Hope these helped
