Milk (cow and mother's) is necessary for babies and growing children for developing bones. Adults need drastically less, just a little to keep calcium ticking over a bit more is adviseable for the elderly to stave off brittle ,arthritic bones etc as we age.

Everyone at all ages needs to drink milk. To grow, to keep the bones strong, and to prevent osteoporosis.
BUT, drinking too much milk can also cause osteoporosis - you should drink about half a liter of milk a day.

If you go out & buy the "Fit for Life" book, it will explain how milk is made for a 200 lb. calf, not HUMANS!!! In which we've all been deceived many years, about this situation.....However, if one does not eat "Nurishing-Meals" then, its okay to drink, because it has vitamin D in it, in which our body can get from other sources, but cant if we're not getting those sources...The sunshine alone has alot of vitamin D in it, when we go outside everyday in the sunshine! In this same book it speaks of the fact that milk turns to mucous in our bodies, and also turns to a "Glue" type of substance, making it hard for our bodies to digest... Thus saying its really not good for humans to consume!! I remember years ago, when my children just had milk twice a day, at breakfast & dinner......well years later, I got on the wic program, and they had more milk then we knew what to do with.....plus cheese....and all of a sudden, my youngest daughter, began to get feverish, and ended-up with the "Croupe!!!" You want to talk about a really scary time for me! The doctor was calling the house to check on her! I couldn't keep medicine down her, she was either throwing it up, or had the diarhea.....And super high fever's! I was so afraid she was going to die on me! That's how sick my daughter was, so I cut back on their milk and dairy products, and all of a sudden she began to get better!! Kid you not! According to the "Fit For Life" book, when a baby is weened off of either the breast or the bottle, their not suppose to have milk at all......Just other foods, sunshine, and lots of Nutrishional foods, vegeez, fruits & the like! Good luck to you! Smile!!!

Well that depends on what kind of milk they are drinking. The chemicals and hormones added to lots of milks are very UNHEALTHY! however organic cows milk and goat milk are very beneficial. Goats milk is the healthiest, but the body can adjust to cows milk... most people who think they are lactose in tolerant are actually reacting to the chemicals added to the milks than to the milk itself.
