To Muslims, Quran is a holy book, revealed directly to Mohammed through the angel Gibrael. To them, it the absolute truth, the last message to mankind from the Creator of this Universe.
In reality, Quran is a creation of Mohammed's mind and includes collections of stories, brainwashing techniques, general common sense and morals, and some "scientific" statements.
All these elements were either common sense, were borrowed from other religions and sources, or were invented by Mohammed.

The reason why Quran is not divine, is that, it contains many defects, contradictions, wrong morals and incorrect science, and on top of it, all this has been copied from other sources.

Had "Allah" been a true God, He would have made the Quran infinitely strong in such a way that any human being, no matter how hard he/she tried, would never be able to point out any defect in it.

Instead, today, Islam is the World's most hatred and criticised religion, and Quran is being called the "manual of Terrorism".
So, could Quran truely be the "last" message to mankind by the Creator of this wonderful Universe?
Common sense replies with a firm negative.
As a summary of what the Quran actually is all about:
- In most of the verses, Quran keeps praising Allah the non-existent God. When you read the Quran, almost every now and then you'll see familiar verses like 'And Allah is merciful, forgiving' (SURE he is).
- It gives many threats of Hellfire, as well as gives promises of Heaven- this is to entice the believer into action, using this simple push/pull strategy which is used by other religions as well but not to the extent which is used in Islam.

- Quran contains orders for Muslims, how they should live their lives. Not all aspects of life are covered.

- Quran contains events and stories of the past. They were mostly copied from other religions.
- Quran contains a sprinking of 'scientific' statements, which tried to impress the illiterate reader 1400 years ago. That was the era in which the Sun and the Moon were thought to go around the Earth. Today we know these 'scientific statements' to actually contain wrong science, as well as stuff copied from other religions and scientists of those time. An example is the idea of sperm being generated in the Backbone[Quran 86:6]. This idea was proposed by Greek scientists, and copied by Mohammed. If we had copyright laws 1400 years ago, Mohammed would have been jailed for copyright infringement and there would be no Islam today. Sadly, it was the era in which people buried their infant daughters and thus he took advantage of the fact that people around him were inhuman Arabs with *no* moral sense. Thus, Quran has *little* moral sense, when comparing to universal standards.

If the Quran was 100% bad, it would die out quickly. For this reason, Mohammed included some good things in Quran, so good people would support the Quran and keep Islam alive.
At the same, terrorists act out on the bad teachings of Quran, resulting in global terrorism whose painful effects have been and are being experienced by everyone.
It is these bad teachings of Quran that have jeapordized the Global peace process.
Islamic terrorism will continue to injure mankind and create misery on Earth, until Islam ceases to exist.

An unbiased study of Quran shows that far from being a “miracle” that book is a hoax. Once Quran is scrutinized with rational thinking, almost every sentence proves to be false. Quran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities and grammatical errors. Could possibly the author of this Universe be as ignorant as it appears to be in Quran?

Quran tells Muslims to kill the disbelievers wherever they find them (Q. 2:191), to murder them and treat them harshly (Q. 9:123), slay them (Q. 9:5), fight with them, (Q. 8: 65 ) even if they are Christians and Jews, humiliate them and impose on them a penalty tax (Q. 9: 29). Quran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and tell clearly that no other religion except Islam is accepted (Q. 3: 85). It relegates those who disbelieve in Quran to hell (Q. 5:10), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (Q. 9: 28). It orders its followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion except Islam is left (Q. 2: 193). It says that the non-believers will go to hell and will drink boiling water (Q. 14: 17).

It asks the Muslims to slay or crucify or cut the hands and feet of the unbelievers, that they be expelled from the land with disgrace and that “they shall have a great punishment in world hereafter” (Q.5: 34). “As for the disbelievers”, it says that “for them garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowls and skin shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods” (Q. 22: 9). Quran prohibits a Muslim to befriend a non-believer even if that non-believer is the father or the brother of that Muslim (Q. 9: 23), (Q. 3: 28). Quran asks the Muslims to “strive against the unbelievers with great endeavor (Q. 25: 52), be stern with them because they belong to hell (Q. 66: 9). The holy Prophet demanded his follower to “strike off the heads of the disbelievers”; then after making a “wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives” (Q. 47: 4).

As for women the book of Allah says that they are inferior to men and their husbands have the right to scourge them if they are found disobedient (Q. 4:34). It teaches that women will go to hell if they are disobedient to their husbands (Q. 66:10). It maintains that men have an advantage over the women (Q. 2:228). It not only denies the women's equal right to their inheritance (Q. 4:11-12), it also regards them as imbeciles and decrees that their witness is not admissible in the court (Q. 2:282).

This means that a woman who is raped cannot accuse her rapist unless she can produce a male witness. Muhammad allowed the Muslims to marry up to four wives and gave them license to sleep with their slave maids and as many “captive” women as they may have (Q. 4:3). He himself did just that. This is why anytime a Muslim army subdues another nation, they call them kafir and allow themselves to rape their women. Pakistani soldiers raped up to 250,000 Bangali women in 1971 after they massacred 3,000,000 unarmed civilians when their religious leader decreed that Bangladeshis are unislamic. This is why the prison guards in Islamic regime of Iran rape the women and then kill them after calling them apostates and the enemies of Allah.

Islam as it is taught in Quran (Koran) and lived by Muhammad, as is reported in the Hadith (Biography and sayings of the Prophet) is a religion of intolerance, inequality, violence, discrimination, superstition, fanaticism, and blind faith. Islam advocates killing the non-Muslims, abuses the human rights of the minorities and women. Islam expanded by Jihad (holy war) and forced its way by killing the non-believers and the dissidents.

Apostasy in Islam is the biggest crime, punishable by death. Muhammad was a fundamentalist himself therefore fundamentalism cannot be separated from true Islam. Islam, which means submission, demands from its followers to submit their wills and thoughts to Muhammad and his Allah, a deity that despises reason, democracy, freedom of thought and freedom of expression. I reject Islam a) because of Muhammad’s lack of moral and ethical fortitude and b) because of the absurdities in Quran.

This is severely lame and will not convince any muslim, why don't you try some real investigation instead of being spoon fed by erroneous websites, this is weak....

Holy Quran is the only living, final, well-refined and upgraded word of almighty Allah.
The religion Islam does not start from Muhammad PBUH, It is the continuity of the religion from Adam PBUH to Muhammad PBUH, the series of prophets of almighty Allah. (total nos. of prophets is 124,000).It was required to update the words of Allah, as per collective growth of human being with the passage of time. When collective growth of human being reached to its fully matured level, Allah almighty Confirmed Islam, as complete.
1426 years has been passed there is no man made amendment, even a single vowel is not altered, How it is possible for a book, if it not word of Almighty Allah?
There no other book, even a single person may remember completely by heart, in the world, except holy Quran. As there are countless people who remember it by heart, in the world.
How you can say, that it is not the word of Allah.
Allah has selected a person, totally illiterate, Muhammad Pbuh so no one may say this as a man made book.
La haula wala quwwata illa billahil 'Ali yul Adhem.
Inna lillahi wa inna alaehi raaji'oon

is it a Christian value to preach hate because that is what your doing
This sort of thing is what turns decent people away from Christianity
A belief is not a fact but people who want their beliefs respected should respect others peoples beliefs it is not a one way thing

By the same argue ment, the New Testament is not from God--it was jsut written by some of his followers.

And you should really learn something about Islam before you start making judgements. "Allah" is simply Arabic for God--and both religions worship the same God. You show how totally ignorant you are of Islam when youmake errors like that.

The Quran is from Allah as spoken to Mohammed through the angel Gabriel. The proof is that Mohammed was known to be illiterate, so no one could accuse him of 'reading it somewhere else' and writing it as his own.

And give examples of these 'defects,' don't just say they exist without pointing out something in specific.

As-Salamu Alaykum - Peace be upon you

Hear Hear! At last a well-researched well-written and totally unbiased critique of Islam. You will notice that its apologists have no answer save to resort to threats and abuse or to bleat pathetically 'what about the bible'. Personally I will be giving them the thumbs down and reporting them for abuse! These people are incapable of intelligent debate. It would not surprise me if some of them are complicit in the atrocities currently being plotted and carried out in the name of their perverted 'faith'
PS 'Ishfack'..or whoever you are get of this site you filthy ignorant racist sexist nazi hatemonger.. Reported.. and I also suspect that the people who monitor this site would pass on your details to the authorities. We have no place in this society for people like you who condone atrocities and paedophilia all in the name of your perverted 'religion'

We are all entitled to our own opinions, even if they are hateful and offensive. Yes, I do believe the Qur'an is from God. You will never convince me otherwise, and I will never convince you that it is. Peace.
