Well it's not they have gas in them... what produces gas is our digestive system, when it decomposes foods in its different nutrients, and one by product is gas, which is later pushed out... The thing with beans is its combination of carbohydrates and protein, and this mix is a bomb!... other foods that causes you gas is protein (fish, poultry, meat, etc)

Food doesn't have gas in them, but can create gas at different levels when it decays in the intestinal track.

Beware of broccoli and cauliflower!
