Yes that is true. Many years ago they made toys using these ingredients. I had a small boat and at the stern there were 2 little holes. When you filled it with vinegar and baking soda, it wouls shoot out through these holes and the boat would go flying across the water.

Red dye, tooo. It's good, but it's too common. Try something with water, pepper and dish soap. Oh, and it's chemistry, not sorcery.
