I'd change people to be more openminded, to be more educated. I'd change people to become less judgmental about others, and to become more demanding form the government. I'd change people to be more interested in arts, politics, nature, etc.

I'd retain the tolerance of Turkish people which seems to be lessening these days. I'd retain the hospitability. I'd retain the cultural values. I'd retain the food as Melisa noted earlier. I'd retain the natural beauties (which are not cared for as they should be).

Tolia, your questions are really high-quality, keep them coming

First I'd like to have really honest and hardworking politicians with an universal approach. I mean liberal, humanist, intelligent on diplomacy, peaceful

Then I'd change the society. I'd provide gender-equality (many women are suffering from this problem especially in eastern turkey)
, prevent racism (which we're experiencing lately), and free and neutral education for everything. I'd like to see my society as democratic as ancient Greece.

If I could make those changes, everything would get better and better naturally.

Which I would retain is the rich culture, the good will of the averege citizen. The humorous culture, the jokes. The rich literature. Yasar Kemals, Orhan Pamuks.. The land, natural beauties. Architecture which Ottomans or other civilizations left. Cooperation spirit of the Anatolian people. Hospitality of the Anatolian people. Altruistic people, patience of people. Everything which is beautiful, you know

If I had a magic wand I'd not only change Turkey but also change all the world starting from neighboring countries. Because every single person in this world, deserves a better, far better life to live with peace and happiness.

But we should be optimistic. World is changing Turkey is changing, there's no magic wand but we'll experience those positive changes in our lives. I'm and I should be hopeful for the future. What we have now was a big dream some time in the past. So why would not we make more dreams real!

same as what you would change in your country as a Greek social security, better wages, higher standards of living..

I see the changes each year so I'm very proud that we are getting there even though we are a young country we got ourselves much better and I trust that it will catch up with the others very soon...

Also traffic should be looked at more seriously, driving license should be made harder to get...

I would love to retain everything else I guess as I can't think of anything else...Turkiye is gorgeous, People of Turkiye are wonderful...

well, at first, i would change the reactionist goverment members who always make concessions to the us, to the eu and some powerfull groups in Turkiye. as if they are not the government but the others are... (for example:: look at new petroleum law made by this government, recently) and their politic way of thinking is not the real way of our country which was left by Ataturk. i hope we will have this chance in the next selection.

secondly, i would like to change that if any other reactionist party will have the government after this one :))

well, in fact, i m glad and cant see anything to change in my country; people are lovely, places are so beautiful, life is so good except bridge ways' traffic in the mornings and evenings in istanbul.

my only wish is the next selection's winner political party does not make us to miss last one.

I would change the salaries of the main jobs; teachers, doctors, policemen and the minimum waged workers.

Doctors have to earn minimum 5000 YTL to remember their oath of hippocrates:))) They wouldnt need to work for their private surgeries and they will better pay attention to their patients by this salary.

Teachers have to earn minimum 3000 YTL not to think their debts while doing their jobs. They will better pay attention to their students and both sides will not need private cources by this salary.

Policemen have to earn minimum 3000 YTL not to think their debts, not to graft and not to cooperate with mafia.

Also the minimum wage have to be 1000 YTL. I think its normal to loose the mind or to be a thief with 403 YTL now!!!

I m sure and I m not dreaming that our government can easily pay these salaries if they stop to steal our money by bad smelling tenders and sales.

Good luck neighbour...
