I'm overweight. Every Monday I make my new lifestyle change, but never accomplish it! What shall I do?

Here is your motivation:

If youdon't change your lifestyle, your body will begin degrading and losing it's muscle mass. Day by Day you'll wach yourself get lazier and lazier, and more and more obese. You'll start being incompinent due to a variety of related reasons, and develop disgusting habbits, all of which leads to the loss of your job. Then one day, you'll sit down on your couch - and won't be able to get up. Soon, you'll be a lump that does nothing but watch TV on your couch and have family support you. Eventually, you'll take the life that obese people are inclined to. You'll get two moving trucks, one for all your stuff and the other for yourself, and move into a broken down hobo shack in South Carolina. Within the year, you'll marry a rascist hick. The only income you get is a few squirrels and some furs. The floor will creak, the roof will leak, in the winter there will be a terrible draft and there will be a rabid dog in yor back yard. You would have lost all intrest in near everything, and sjust sit on the couch listening to your husbands gun fire at the squirrels or neighbors, and watching a TV that works only half the time. You'll be sitting quite close, because when you no longer get a signal, you'll use all your might to lift your 98 pund foot to kick the TV, hoping that knocks the loose wire back into place. But by that time you'll just refer to it as fixing the magic box. Then, all you'll watch are the old cartoons like bugs bunny where people and animals mindlessly bash eachother, and develop a hicish, deep, retarded-sounding laugh. And that is how you will spend the rest of your life.

Is that enough motivation?

Start small. On Monday morning, tell yourself, "Self, I am going to drink water instead of pop every day this week." Keep the goal small and measurable. Figure out a good non-food reward for Sunday. If you find that Sunday, you drank water instead of pop every day, take a bubble bath... buy a new blender for the kitchen - something that will be a reward.

Then, next Monday, pick a new goal... "Self, I am going to go for 6, 15-minute walks this week. If I do this, I will buy myself flowers on Sunday."

Make small changes... make them into habits... eventually you will change your life.

have you tried joining curves? Don't totally give up your treats, just eat smaller portions ie have half a bar of chocolate or share a slice of cake or pie in the coffee shop with your friend. Try toget moving, ie get off the bus stop a few stops earlier, hide your remote control, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Most importantly, look after yourself and pamper yourself, to sink in that you are worth it. Buy a new nail polish, get a facial or new haircut. And keep going- it's not a crime to fall but it is if you dont get back up again.good luck!

Just take it one day at a time and don't get overwhelmed. Put the worst picture of you at your heaviest & one of you looking your best or of a celebrity/model with a body you'd like to have on the fridge and think about that anytime you want to eat something unhealthy or miss a workout. Just don't get discouraged, you didn't become overweight overnight, so it will take a while to reach your goals too.

you should make out a plan that will help you lose weight, such as join a health club and make out a diet plan and then stick to it. You may want to ask your family or friends to accompany you. If you have support, you will most likely accomplish your goal

Join an aerobics class. The other people will motivate you. As soon as you start dropping some weight, the motivation will be there. Try it and see.

Just do simple things like :-
Try to use vehicle less and walk more.
Use stairs in place of lift
eat just lesser than you usually eat.
Do yoga, if you can't do it at home join some nearby club.
