2005 GMC Envoy, 6 cylenders 4wd... Im going from New York to Florida, and I need to know aprox how much gass i need, even though the prices keep changing. It's not my car, so I dont know, and the owners only drive from home to work, and never long distances, so they wouldnt know how many miles it would go. Any suggestions

I checked www.cars.com and they stated about city 15-16 mpg and 21-22 highway. depending on the Litres of the engine. If you have full time 4 wheel drive then it will decrease the gas milage. Also check the tires, make sure they are about 5 psi over the recommneded pressure. The higher the pressure the better the gas milage. You willnot blow the tires unless you inflate it to 80 psi, the norm is 35 psi.

Well, I had a 2003 Envoy and it got about 20 miles per gallon on the highway.
I now have a 2004 and it isn't any better, so plan on around 350 miles maximum per tank of gas. (The gas tank holds 18 gallons.) These cars are HEAVY!
