I called but they just told me to wait 3 weeks to get my return. but they didnt say anything about the 1121.

I had the same thing - 1121. I was also told my refund would be directly deposited on Jan. 26 and it's Feb. 2 and no deposit! After calling I was confused, however the rep told me it would be reviewed on Feb. 3rd and she couldn't tell me why because they weren't privy to that information. Huh? Then what was the point in calling? I panicked and wondered; was I being audited, did I mess up, etc. Once I dug deeper into the Feb 3rd date on the internet I finally found several places that stated this was the date that the IRS would accept anything dealing with educational credits, sales tax, and something else I forgot. I did have a tuition deduction, so hopefully that is why mine is being delayed. Whatever tax laws were changed have definitely sent the IRS into a tail spin! If any of you other guys didn't have any of the credits that I mentioned then I just think they are bombarded. Keep your fingers crossed that we get our money on the 5th.

I also among others have the same issue.... refund said direct deposited on 1/26.. was told by IRS still processing.. no problems would be there any time check with bank.. then checked my status again .. got ref 1121 call IRS... was then told by them... that it would be at least 2 more weeks... before i got my refund... due to review... read this online...refunds are directed deposited on Fridays... uggh..

I have the same problem. When you called with a reference number did they tell you that there were questionable items on your return? I have received SEVERAL different answers

I don't know, I got the same thing and was told there was a delay in processing my return. I would call them and maybe they can give you more information.
