I think that it has more cons than pros.
First , you'll have to get an amazing PC to work well, because it loads with almost 1gb ram , it has an annoying security, that will ask you up to three times when you want to erase a file, you won't be able to play with a good performance games that use directx9, forget about installing mods that hasn't a security sign or using trainers, it won't allow you, and a lot of things more !. And Aero is not so impressive as they said, and you can also install a patch to your XP to make it looking like Vista.

Vista offers nothing in and of itself but Direct X 10. Direct X 10 allows for better graphics in video games.

There are plenty of negatives I read including the reimaging of HD video (max resolution 1050 when 1080 is HD) which will make the image fuzzy and it deleteing 3rd party software the programmers deem as unacceptable. Computers that were on the high end two or three years ago may not use some of the features if the program even runs at all.

I would not mess with Vista for at least 6 months. And I suspect Microsoft is already working on Service Pack One for Vista. XP is a good reliable (reasonably) package that will serve the average user for several more years.

First and foremost make sure your computer is compatable. a lot of people seem to make the mistake of upgrading just to have the lastest software, but their computer can't even handle it.
Is it worth the upgrade? I say absolutly not. why change from XP if it is working for you? even if you are thinking of upgrading. i would wait for SP1 to be released. this will let time pass so "other" people can find the glitches.
