Why do some people disable their incoming email function? Are you afraid of the response you might get? It's easy to "hit and run", but it's honorable to accept responsibillity for (though simetimes ignorant) questions and comments. Why do you not want to be held accountable for what you say? (you can always disable the incoming email function and shrink back into your corner)--as those who do, are definately not worth answering. Take the gloves off, and come out of your corner--enable your email function!

Mine is not disabled, but I have had to change my screen name twice because of people writing to me and calling me very bad names. Of course, they had their email closed, lol. I have been stalked as well. So yeah, people may have good reasons...or they may just be playing around. I notice a lot of accounts that say they were created on the same day they are questioning or answering. Go figure. LEFTY

I agree with you, if you dish it out, then be willing to take the flack. One girl asked a question about , "do you xtians believe the devil really has a pitchfork" , and then made some common chatter about Christians being nuts. She got ticked with me and because she doesn't accept email, the only way she could reply was by answering another question that I had answered. Only thing is she did not answer the person's question, she took the space to bad mouth me. The little coward. So Yeah accept the email or shut up.

Why would someone ask a question here if they don't want a response? The site is set up for questions and answers so email is not necessary. You can respond right here. You're just an ignorant bully that wants to harass people privately so you won't get caught.

If you have been stalked by people that you have met in forums or news groups, you would know why. I personally try to limit the exposure of my email to complete strangers not because I do not want to be responsible for my views but as a safety measure against potential lunatics. Paranoid, yes, but also safe.

I'm suprised actually that people expose their email addresses in this manner.

I agree with being accountable for your answers. However, I can also remember being on here a while before I realized I explicitly had to enable myself for email. The users I have tried to email; have been relatively new Y users; thus they may have not 'turned it on' yet!

I have gotten some interesting email from psychos. I still have it on for now because I also get emails from very cool people (even if they are disagreeing with me). I may turn it off if the level of psycho emails doesn't decrease.

Mine is not disabled but if I had to guess, I would say that judging from some of the responses I see on here, they don't any correspondence from some. I mean, some of the answers/questions on here are unbelievable. May God Bless U.

No, now and back i'm getting incredibly high-quality ones that are patently properly intentioned. now and back i'm getting ones that are ......aggravating. Ones the place the sender threatens to disembowel me and carry my intestines around my neck. i've got not seen that consumer in a whilst, i'm guessing i'm not the only recipient of his "Christian love"

I am the only one in here that is a Humanist (Satanist) I don't feel like having a million emails from people claiming to be christian and not being "christian like" that is why I don't leave mine open.
Besides I already get enough rejection emails from the christian moderator

I've been subjected to harassment by IM AND email because of my faith, and I've been stalked online. But mine is still on. I just take this type of thing as another reason why I should stick to my own faith and leave everyone else to theirs. I would hate to be that flat-out crazy (not to mention hateful) in the name of any God.
