do not sleep. after a day or two, ur body will be restless and by then u would be able to sleep. when u think u can already sleep, do so but make sure it is time for u to sleep. not in the morning or afternoon but night. in this way, ur body clock would be well adjusted sleeping at night. well, im a call center agent and works @night and i sometimes have that problem. just do not force ur body. it wont hurt to have a day or two sleepless nights. once ur too tired to think, u would be able to sleep u know. just do not, do not over sleep bec u would be on the same pattern again.

I can't either so join the party. Try sleeping in just your under wear with a pillow under your feet and another under neck. Really, It works and you will sleep better. If your room is too hot then turn off the heat and tun a fan on low/medium. And stop thinking about what happen during the day or what might happen the next day. And turn off that cursed TV that will keep you up too.
also kick out the annoying roommates(if you have any ) so you can have peace and quiet to sleep better.

if there is a lot of stress in your life try and find ways to get rid of some or at least talk about it with someone. If you are drinking any caffeine or eating before bed that might cause u not to sleep. If there is no reason at all I would go to the doctor and explain what is going on. Also dont let them tell you everything is ok when its not sleep is wicked important. i hope you can find the help you need. good luck

According to Dr. James B. Maas, author of the book Power Sleep, tossing and turning and physical stress are among the top five reasons for sleep loss. Simmons Beautyrest was specifically designed to reduce the motion transfer between partners that results from tossing and turning. It was also designed to reduce pressure points on your body that cause physical stress.

The 1999 sleep study performed at the Sleep Disorder Center of Georgia found the following:

The average person tosses and turns 40 to 60 times every night.
70% of the time you move, your partner moves within 30 seconds.
Partner tossing and turning reduces your deep sleep by 20%

I share your pain, 3am here - sleeping pills are ok but not for long term. The best long term sleeping remedy I found to be marijuana. Sadly i have none. Try a glass of milk and try not to worry about not being able to sleep, the worrying is keeping you awake.

If I were you I would go talk to your doctor. There can be many reasons why you are not sleeping. The sleeping aides that offer over the counter are NOT the best things to use.

Well maybe if you are stress that you should get sleeping pills that might help. If everything is cool, and you just can't sleep. YOU COULD GET A BIG BOWL OF ICE CREAM QATCH A COUPLE OF MOVIES til you get sleepy. it works for me. Hope i helped. SLEEP TIGHT.

I know this might sound stupid but try putting a pillow inbetween your legs this relaxs your muscles and helps you relax to sleep. I have been doing this for years and I find it works. I told my husband to try it when he couldn't sleep and slept like a baby the night he did it.

Hope this works for you too.

DO NOT TAKE SLEEPING PILLS. They make it worse because you become dependent on them.

Instead got to any place that sells vitamins and minerals and get Melatonin. It's a natural hormone your body produces, literally when it gets dark, to aid you in falling asleep. It's not addictive or habit forming.

Try this simple thing: Lay down, get comfortable, just lay there and relax while you count the ticking of a clock, everytime you get to 100 start over, I am sure this will work, just breath deeply and listen to the clock and count the ticking.
