Why not keep it white or just paint a base color, and then paint something on it. It stimulates the babies brain, since it will spend lots of time in there. My dad and stepmom painted my baby sisters room with Dr. Suess characters. The great thing about this is, when she gets older, they wont have to repaint it right away because she has a new favorite color.

Pastels! yellow, mint green, and actually a baby blue is good fro either sex! Paint the whole room like a sky blue with clouds on the ceiling. Do a natures type theme in the babys room; it's good for a boy or a girl!

I would pick out my nursery bedding, curtains and throw rugs first. Many of these items are made for either a boy or girl or both. Once you have these picked out, you can match your paint to any of the colors in your bedding. Try to do more than one color. Maybe two diferrent colored walls or a different color on the top and the bottom with a wallpaper border in the middle. Good Luck!

Well I think you should do it in a warm color not to dark or bright. Yellow is very bright. I think it should be a theme. Just white paint and a theme. They have so many things in baby's r us. I think you should find out or better yet wait. it won't hurt. Your baby is going to be in your room the first month anyway.

I would say a sage green.....it is male enough and feminine enough and you can always find a bedding set I think Winnie the pooh actually has that color as a main one....plus with my first child I did the blue jean teddy bear ( found at wal-mart) it has both a boy bear and a girl bear on all the bedding plus the colors are a little darker for those who don't like pastels

green, yellow , blue. I think if you do a beadboard at the bottom that is white and then paint the top green it would be pretty. Then when you find out the sex you hanf pictures that will accomidate what the sex of the baby is going to be.

The first color that comes to mind is light blue, which is a nice, lively "baby color" that works for boys and girls. If you want to keep it more low key and neutral, I'd go with a wheat color. Also advising to use an eggshell or "flat enamel" finish, which makes for easier cleaning of walls than a flat finish would.
I hope this helps. Good luck to you!

We didn't know the sex of our baby either. I decided to go with a Classic Pooh theme--Those colors are very neutral and very fitting for either sex.

I'd go with a pastel green or maybe a creamy beige. I'd avoid the yellow as studies have shown that a yellow room will make a baby cry more often.

Baby blue or green. Basically any colour works for a girl but steer away from the softer colours (yellow, pink etc.) in case you have a boy
