You have gotten alot of good suggestions.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
My humble suggestions are:
Fried rice and stir fried veggies
reg rice pilaf and a good green salad
pasta Alfredo and green beans
pasta w Thai peanut butter sauce and broccoli
pancini
egg foo yung (write me for the recipe--so good) and veggies.
Hope it helps and you have yourself a good - no - GREAT day!

Happy Birthday!
I'd make some french fries - or if you don't have any, use whole potato, cut them into small wedges -1/8 - 1/16, season them, and bake them till they are just tender - cutting them 1st allows them to dry out in the oven a little. Then pan fry them in a little oil just to crisp them up and get some color on them.
I know what it's like to have a winter birthday - Mine was 2 weeks ago - not much fun when you have to either clean the driveway and the car just to go out to eat, or cook your own dinner.

I have always liked grilled steak with shrimp. I know it is cold out, but if you have a grill master available that doesn't mind standing outside to grill, a sirloin or ribeye med. rare goes great with shrimp. Then maybe add a salad or fried greenbeans. Hope it helps. And Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

Cole slaw, salads, fresh fruit, something to counteract the calories in the fried shrimp.
