I heard somewhere that your body will absorb more vitamins and nutrient of veges/fruits if they are eaten before meats. Is that true?

Fruits are digested much faster then meat or other foods. So eating fruit first allows for greater absorption of vitamins and minerals. It also means less gas since the fruit wont get "backed up" so to speak behind slower foods.

Vegetables are next fastest so the same can go for them. Followed by processed grains like breads and pastas, then whole grains and starches like potatoes and bran, then meats.

On a whole the human body is not built like a carnivore, we're omnivores. We should eat a lot less meat then almost any other food product and yes, it should really be eaten last in a meal.

that is a very old theory. when food gets into your stomach, it stay there for a while, then it mixes it up for digest.

no, but eating some fat (preferably healthy) with your fruit/veg will help you absorb their nutrients
