does anyone know if it's possible to travel to india for longer than 6 months? i'll be teaching there, so is applying for an employment visa a good option, or am i likely to be refused? the embassy say you can apply for a tourist visa for longer than 6 months, but will they take longer to process this? i need to know when best to apply, i'm booked to travel mid-april and my return flight is within 6 months, but if i can get a longer visa i'll change my return date. i know i can leave india in october and go to nepal or sri lanka to get a new visa, but there has to be an easier and less expensive option?

having asked at the indian embassy in dublin, they were quite unhelpful and refused to offer a definite answer, hence why i'm hoping to hear from people. i've been advised that in the UK they're very strict on granting only 180 day visas, but i don't know if they're so strict in ireland.

Not difficult, just apply for visa at the nearest Indian Embassy in Ireland, or Indian high commission in London and you will get it.

If she have been given a 10 year visa she probable will nonetheless be stable to circulate. in spite of the undeniable fact that there may be the priority whether or no longer they're going to have faith that she will save residing in Tijuana, yet i assume in the event that they relied on her so some distance they might proceed to realize this. Marriage to you will no longer invalidate her visa. despite she does, crossing the border illegally may be the main stupid ingredient she will do. If she is caught it is going to easily complicate getting a greencard and if she is caught greater effective than as quickly because it could make it impossible. as nicely that's risky and expensive.
