That relationships are important and that the body of Christ must always be in agreement if it is to be Christ-like. The problem is, as it has always been, that no one is willing to give up their personal rights and personal agendas to unify the body. This has always been a problem with any system of belief---everybody wants to be the chief and no one wants to be the Indians. This is why there are so many denominations in every system of belief that you encounter. In the end, God will sort out the true believers and the phonies.

The last verses of the chapter talk about developing relationships with other Christians. For some of us the only time we see other Christians is on Sunday mornings. If Christians would actually spend time with each other and develop relationships, there would be a lot fewer people coming and going through the church. The Acts 2 church is the embodiment of what Jesus was saying about loving your neighbors. They were doing it and that is why "the Lord added to their number daily."

It tells me that we are somewhat removed from it. If we were an Acts chapter 2 type of church, the kingdom of God would grow in leaps and bounds. There would be a whole lot more well-taken care of christians who are in need as well.

Please dont get caught up on the acts of Christians in one little section of the Bible. The entire New Testament is a guidline to how a Christian should act. There are a couple religions who seem to base their ENTIRE religion on Acts 2 and pay no attention to the rest of the New Testament and come up with doctrines that are horribly in error according to scripture.

Nothing.

Jesus tells us how Christians should act.

He asked us to love our neighbors. He made no exceptions to this rule.

Period, end of story.

Love and blessings Don
