The Talmud is flat out Jewish teaching. All jews are supposed to follow the stuff in the Talmud.
The Talmud (Hebrew: ת××××) is a record of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, customs and history. The Talmud has two components: the Mishnah (c. 200 CE), the first written compendium of Judaism's Oral Law; and the Gemara (c. 500 CE), a discussion of the Mishnah and related Tannaitic writings that often ventures onto other subjects and expounds broadly on the Tanakh. The terms Talmud and Gemara are often used interchangeably. The Gemara is the basis for all codes of rabbinic law and is much quoted in other rabbinic literature. The whole Talmud is traditionally also referred to as Shas (a Hebrew abbreviation of shishah sedarim, the "six orders" of the Mishnah).
[edit] Early Origins of the Talmud
Originally, Jewish scholarship was oral. Rabbis expounded and debated the law and discussed the bible without the benefit of written works (other than the biblical books themselves.) This situation changed drastically, however, mainly as the result of the destruction of the Jewish commonwealth in the year 70 C.E. and the consequent upheaval of Jewish social and legal norms. As the Rabbis were required to face a new reality—mainly Judaism without a Temple and Judea without autonomy—there was a flurry of legal discourse and the old system of oral scholarship could not be maintained. It is during this period that Rabbinic discourse began to be recorded in writing.
The earliest recorded oral law may have been of the midrashic form, in which halakhic discussion is structured as exegetical commentary on the Pentateuch. But an alternative form, organized by subject matter instead of by biblical verse, became dominant about the year 200 C.E., when Rabbi Judah haNasi redacted the Mishnah (××©× ×).

Well, by today's standards, the Maccabees who fought Greece for control of the Temple (the story on which Hanukkah is based) were terrorists.
During WWII, Jews in some ghettos (Warsau is most famous), Jews engaged in all sorts of urban terrorist tactics in a desperate attempt to drive Nazi occupiers out.
When Israel was fighting for existance in the late 40's and 50's, there was an organization called the Irgun that used terrorist tactics to try and get the British to leave.
After the Munich Olympics (when Palestinian terrorists captured and killed Israeli athletes), the Israeli secret operations organization, the Mossad, used secretive and/or terrorist type tactics to kill many members of the group who took the hostages in Munich.
Basically, Jews as a people are no better, worse, or different from any other socio-religious group. I think there are many different groups of people capable of/willing to use terrorist tactics and Jews have been no different from any other group put into desperate situations where they felt these tactics were the only means left to them to accomplish their purpose.

Yes...there have been Jewish terrorists. However, when discovered, they are disrupted, denounced and destroyed by the rest of Jewry.
As for the Talmud....the Talmud is the written record of discussions of the Jewish Oral Law...with some allegorical stories thrown in. It poses absolutely no threat to anyone, despite what neo-nazi, anti-semitic and white supremicist websites might claim.

Go to the library and find a book that has old newspaper clipping from the late 40s and early fifty's. Read the articles about Palestine from 46 through the mid 50s.
They will tell you a lot.
Love and blessings Don

You bet there are Jewish terrorists. I can't think of too many religions that don't have their own form of terrorists, including my own.
Check out these links then surf from there. The Talmud, by the way, is just a text.

YES. They started it.
Damn, I can't remember the group's name. I just watched a history channel special on on it. I will find it and be back though.
MOSSAD. Thank you, revenge. You saved me some searching, I'm glad I scrolled down first, I knew someone would know it. They were caught quite a few times committing acts of terror.
