hers my proof: the bible said there would be a city called babolon that would be destroyed in the end times. babolon wasent here untill saddam made the city babolon. it also said that his nation israel will become a nation again. in 1947-48 it did. the bible also said that the hebrew people won a victory by a secret passege in some mountain range. its funny becuse 5000 years later a brittish regiment leader used the same passageway found in the bible to win a vital battle in ww2. proving it was there. also a single cell has been found to have millions of more cells within each other. i dont understand please guys give me your argument and excuse my spelling.

The symbolic woman bearing the name Babylon the Great is “the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth,” a kingdom that allows her, in effect, to sit on “peoples and crowds and nations and tongues.” (Re 17:1, 15, 18) A kingdom over other kingdoms and nations is what is defined as an “empire.” Babylon the Great places herself above earthly kings, exercising power and influence over them. She rides the symbolic seven-headed beast, beasts being used elsewhere in the Bible as symbols of political world powers.

Can you prove your interpretation of the Bible? No. The Bible's prophecies, like most others, are vague. Most scholars believe the Babylon of Revelation is Rome, not Iraq. The independence of Israel is nothing new, it happened before during the Maccabean Revolt in the Intratestamental Period. Revelation and Daniel are not talking about current times, they are talking about events that have already happened a long time ago. Leave it to the Hal Lindsey crowd that these events are about the future.
I deny the Bible for the simple reason that it contains contradictions, makes incorrect statements about the world around us, and for the fact that an omnipotent God would not need a mouthpiece to speak to His creation.
By the way, single cells are NOT made of millions of more cells within each other. Could you please cite where you heard this?

I see it as a story or a sacred text... all religions have these...
I have a hard time believing what is said in the bible because so many people use the quotes that fit their argument. These are often taken out of context or poorly represented. I find that based on what people say the bible changes depending on what they are trying to defend...
that is my problem believing the bible 100% although I do not believe my own religions sacred texts 100% either... just more than the other religions...

I don't "deny" your Bible any more then I "deny" the Odyssey, it just isn't part of my religion and it is not a historically accurate document. It's a part of Middle Eastern mythology. The bible in particular is too open to vastly different interpretations because it has been translated and transliterated so many times. If you think you can read it in English and have a full understanding of it, you are sorely mistaken. You have to study the original languages it was written in to get the full gist of what it says.

Babylon was the "holy city" of Babylonia from around 2300 BC.
Why do you deny The Lord of the Rings? The Spider-Man comics? The Matrix? Any other book or movie? Why not just accept them all? Most of them are far, far more believable than your bible; the only reason you accept it without question is that you've been born into accepting it.
Yet you blindly accept claims like the one about babylon (or the bible itself) with no evidence whatsoever.

It is a book of propoganda used to control the masses just like the Koran and all the others, all suited to the needs of the leaders.
It is written by man. Man seeks power. Power can be found in leading. Leading is done in religion. Nuffsaid!

what the hell is babolon? i've heard of babylon which was a one hell of city. people say nostadamus was able to predict the future. I'll bet given enough time, you'll be able to attribute everything in the bible and everything he predicted to an event because the predictions are so vague.

I think people deny the bible because although parts of it are true parts of it were changed by the religious leaders in the past to control the people.

The bible , the Qur;an and the book the jews read were all sent at the different times to bring the word of God. But the Jews and christians went astrey. If you type in 'Surat al fatihah' the first surah, read the last verse.
