I know you can get it on WIC. We're currently on WIC, too. But my son has GERD, so he goea through a lot more rice cereal than most babies, since he gets it in every bottle. And right now we're in a really tight spot where we have no money, but we do have foodstamps.

Most definately. I used to buy formula, baby food, and baby cereal on food stamps all the time

yes you can buy both. now if you need a certain formula you need to get a prescription from the pediatrician and then give it to your wic caseworker so your baby can have the milk they need. As far as food stamps you can buy any food product for yourself and for the baby... formula and baby cereal. The only thing you can't get is hot/cooked food and steamed seafood. Everything else and I mean everything else is fair game.

You can buy any food item that is not prepared hot, (deli meals for example) with food stamps. As other posters have mentioned you can get these items from WIC (women, infants, children) as well as other essential food items, milk, cheese, peanut butter, cereal, juice, and even carrots and tuna for breastfeeding moms.

yes you can! anything you can eat you can buy w/ them. Formula can get really expensive, so check out a WIC office in your area. Women Infants Children. They give you food vouchers that you buy with them. You can't pick it, but it is free. They offer milk cheese eggs and cereal and formula, all the formula you need for FREE!

I would think so.
Organizations such as WIC customarily offer these important staples as part of their program.

EDIT- I see. Still, I can't imagine why a nutritious item like that would be denied. Hopefully someone who has actually purchase them will chime in if they haven't already.

Absolutely! You might also want to check into a program called WIC.

In Missouri, you can not buy formula with food stamps. But if you qualify for food stamps then you would qualify for WIC. And WIC gives you voucheres for formula and cereral and milk and eggs and stuff.

Your doc should be able to write a prescription for WIC to give you extras, such as rice cereal.

Talk to WIC about what they need.

Yes. Don't they give you informational packets about your foodstamps? You can use foodstamps to buy any FOOD item except for food that has been prepared.

Sheesh, I don't use foodstamps and I know this!
