He sure didn't calm them down much when he said it.

Yes, I was, and I thought that they were not quite right in the head to counter someone saying they are violent by behaving in such ways. I personally think this Pope has far too much to learn, and will really have to do alot of work to fill the shoes of the last. I think Pope John Paul was an outstanding man and truly a shining example of a person who had a pure heart, from what I knew of him. I think Pope Benedict is already off to a bad start, and I fear it will get worse with him. No matter what, I don't think anyone who committed a violent act in response to his comments was justified in any manner and I think those that did should take a good hard look at themselves and at his comments and see how utterly rediculous their actions were.

No he insulted the Prophet of Islam - not a very good way of dialoguing when the head of the Christain church insults other religions sacred figures then says "lets have a discussion; lest respect each other!"
The ironic thing is that Catholics, while defending their "infallible" God- then complain when a tiny fringe of extremists Muslims made offensie remarks about the Pope!!
And the history past and present of the Catholic Church is the most agressive and bloody in human history - they slaughtered any non-Catholics
May God grant this pope wisdom - the last pope was a good man

Jesus said, there is no one good except God, the Pope is just a sinful man like the rest of us and he needs to be washed in the blood of Jesus to be made clean.

No.
Pope is not right about everything and neither are the muslims. I think they both should participate in strong man contests to settle the matter.
