Call your OB GYN.

I had a terrible cough and cold with my first child. I refused to take anything because i was afraid of any damage to the child.
That has been several years ago. There maybe something they can give you to help with the cough and cold.

Welcome to one of the first sacrafices you will have to endure for the sake of your child. Many many many more to come. Be glad however, you will benefit just as much. Your body will become stronger in fighting off colds if it does it by itself than with the help of medications. This will also in turn help your child have a better resistance in the future. Grap a box of tissues, some homemade chicken soup (lots of garlic and onions because they are natural anitbiotics and you don't need to be kissing anyone right now and passing along your misery), and watch a movie or read a book! Embrace your cold and enjoy the down time.

If I were you I would not take any cold medications. Go get some tea, and some peppermint candy for your nose so you can breath, also for a soar throat.

Everything you take your child is taking. I would try hard to stay away from any medications.

sorry but it can only be paracetamol and lots of TLC! Everything else can affect your fetus, so I would not take a chance
