Just talk to your wife & explain that you all must move past this. Keep the communication lines open with your son & his wife & try not to get offended if they cant always visit.
It's hard on a marriage when there is alot of family wanting your attention. You just can't be everywhere.
Also let your son & his wife know that you were hurt & want time with them too.

Talk to your son about this and maybe you can come to a decision together about spending time together.

We decided after going to six different places one Christmas that we had enough so we spend Christmas with our family at home. My sister-in-law started have a New Years day celebration at her home and anyone who wanted to could come over. It took a lot of pressure off everyone.

The holidays are stressful enough without having to worry who you will upset. My nephew just got married this past year, they spent Thanksgiving with her parents and then spent Christmas afternoon with us. They will do Easter with another, and so on that way everyone get some time with them.

Your wife needs to remember she is not their only family. Why does it need to be a holiday for them to spend time with you? A Saturday every couple of months can be just as fun.
