I'm going to have to go with the rest of your answers - stay in Florence!

It is the best city in Italy if you ask me! Sienna doesn't have as much to offer compared to Florence.

STAY IN FLORENCE! or you will be on your day trip and say, OMG why didn't we stay here! Florence is the most beautiful city in the world at sunset! and that is saying something.
they people have taken pride in their art, history, and culture for centuries and it shows. another place you cannot miss is Verona and lake Garda. go to Rome and Naples if you must. 3-4 days r all you will need or want. Stay with your group in Rome and Naples Pompeii is the most depressing thing you will see in your life. Northern Italy is so much better . My mother told me the only reason to go to southern Italy is to realize the start contrast when you head north. Bot was she right. Southern Italy is very violent, from its geography to the police that stand and watch as the corner market is broken into. Be very careful around Naples, the drivers think the stoplights are just suggestions. keep your money locked up and in a front jacket pocket at all time. Poor people make very good thieves.
The museum in Naples is quite good. As for Rome, if you want to see ancient ruins go to Greece. It Rome got all its good ideas anyway.
I hope I have helped , I love Italy...can you tell?

Ity is a sturdy itinerary...do not pay attention to the others. particular possibly in winter it heavily isn't as "high-quality" yet you might have the best thing approximately the crowds not being there and particular locations would be greater romantic and you will locate factors of interest better without 50 million japanes those with cameras pushing you everywhere. am i able to grant you a tenet in spite of the undeniable fact that? On day 7...attempt to spend the night in Sorrento/Capri...it incredibly is suitable at night with each and all of the lights on the shore. To be truthful, the less you reside in Naples the better...incredibly at night. That place is a large number...however the encircling components like Sorrento and so on are suitable. by the way...you besides mght ignored out Venice...that's a could in the winter seeing it incredibly is impossible in the summertime with each and all of the travelers. yet i think it is going to likely be slightly lots which incorporate that too...possibly next time...? desire you savour it lots... p.s. Watch the roads as quickly as you pass south...they rigidity mad
