So that the pressure caused doesn't dislodge your eyeballs.......

We cannot sneeze with our eyes open because when we sneeze, everything in your body stops working for that short instant. All your muscles relax and your heart even stops, it is just for such a short time that you do not feel anything. So therefore, the muscles we use to open our eyes relax, therefore closing.
