If by Jan 31st you have not received your W2, call the employer and ask them if they have been sent. If by Feb 15th you have not received it, call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040 and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them
If you call the IRS right now they will tell you to call back on the 15th

Call the IRS and file a formal complaint. They will help you to secure your W-2 If they cannot get your W-2 for you, they will authorize you to file using Form 4852 to document your earnings and withholdings. Hopefully you have your final pay stub from last year to back that up. When you file Form 4852 you MUST mail in a paper return. You should also expect substantial delays while the IRS attempts to verify the data you put on the Form 4852. Don't expect a refund much before July or August at the earliest if you have to go that route.

As long as the W-2 is postmarked by 1/31/07, your employer has timely filed the form. If you don't get it by next Monday, though, you may want to check with your employer to see if he's using the correct mailing address (that is the most common cause of W-2s that aren't received on time).

Give it some time, sister! The post office aren't miracle workers! It only had to be in the mail yesterday, not in your hand!
