No one's trying to trick anyone. But, fairy tales spark the imagination and has kids asking "Wow, what if it really was true?" knwing that there's no such thing as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother with a magic wand.

People should do the same with the bible.

To me they seem a bit similar and I know where you're coming from. Have you ever read the first book, The Magician's Nephew from the series of The Chronicles of Narnia? Well, that's a good example about what you are talking about. Let me explain....
Digory and Polly meet and they are tricked by their uncle to go into a magical world. While they are there they find a series of pools and being mischievous, Digory hops into one and they both end up in a world called, Charn (I am referring to Charn as Hell) They awaken an evil queen named, Jadis (she's like the Devil) She rules Charn which is a world that is hot and red and every thing's dead there. Jadis tricks them, lies to them, and does just about everything in the bad book. They then go into another world that has not been made yet and it's all black. That's where the lion, Aslan comes into the story (He is like God) He makes everything beautiful and makes birds, fish, animals, and plants and all of a sudden.... The world is finished. Aslan calls the world Narnia (narnia is like earth, which God made) He has a king and queen to live there (sort of like Adam and Eve) and they are to name each animal. Jadis hides because she knows that Aslan is more powerful than her. If that made any sense to you, I'm glad to have shared my opinion.

People who don't study the Book are presumptuous as to what it says. As the Book
says not to give heed to fables that turn from the Truth!
