I don't think anyone can answer that until they be faced with that situation. Abraham believed that God knew what he was doing and so, by faith did as he was told. That was credited to him for righteousness. I hope my faith is that strong. I have not been tested like that. God will only test you as far as he knows you can go OR to prove you don't really believe. God provided Abraham with a way out so he didn't have to kill his only son. And sent an angel to stop him from harming his son. Not many people can grasp the meaning of that. If you don't believe, you have no clue.

That's a VERY good question.
It shows you have put in effort to understand the standard.
The bible says, many are called but few will be chosen. This about reveals why it is so. ONLY those who live by such great faith can receive the salvation grace. Do we have it?
Many christians think that just by saying "I believe!", therefore I am saved. That is only the beginning. A true christian has works to attest to that faith.
Christ said "unless you bear the cross daily and follow me, you cannot be my disciple". This is an extremely HUGE request that christians conveniently overlook.
Paul said "I work out my salvation with trembling and fear". That must mean that even an apostle who gives up his all for God is not even certain that is up to mark. He just looks up towards the upward call, and strive forward.
That's why many christians fail. We fail because we don't even know where we are heading as christians. We don't bother to read the bible, or worse, we read but don't bother to think about what God wants us to understand.

I would love to say that I would. But I have to honestly say that I do not know. Does that make me a bad Christian? I don't think so. We are given free will and in some way or form we all fall short of perfection. That is why God's grace is so important. A lot of times we focus on our emotional feeling and not on what God would want us to do. That can get us in trouble. So, if I were put in that same situation, I might fall into trusting my own emotion and not God's devine will. In that I know I would be wrong, but God knows that I am human and will fail. But in that he loves me anyway.

Blind faith is Dangerous!!!! The Bible mentioned Abraham hearing God's voice and willing sacrificed his son only to be redeemed by an appearance of a sheep...
From THAT time to now, MANY MANY MANY people have claimed to hear God's voice, gone and did what that voice said, how many got their actions redeemed? And how many either ended up in Jail, in a mental asyllum or on death-row for their choices no matter how faithful?
Faith MUST be coupled with Wisdom and common sense... Blind faith leads to Blind Killing, Blind Violence and Blind Suffering for the DOER and his victims.
If Blind Faith is Justifiable, then NO ONE should have any qualms against extremists, if its faith its faith, no matter how we label.
I Disagree with wisdomless Blind Faith

No, I could not. As a Christian I openly admit I am not that strong in my faith. Of course Abraham was not a Christian either so no, he is not better than I. LEFTY

Just like Jesus, Noah and Moses there is no evidence that Abraham ever existed. He is probably just another character in Jewish mythology.

Yes i would have to obey all of god's orders like he did and never give up. No one could be better than him anyway but I could try and take him as my role model and do as he did and be as faithful as i could be so help me god!

Abraham was a Jew, not a Christian.
And no, if I heard voices telling me to kill people, I would get medical help ASAP.
