Also there were no taxes taken out or this w2. How do i start the process of amending a return? can i claim it on the current years taxes?

You will have to file an amended return. They may not catch the error immediately but in a few months when they begin to match the W2's sent by employers with what you claimed you will be notified.

No, you can't claim it on this year's return, you have to file an amended return for last year. Each tax year is separate. If you don't, eventually you'll hear from the IRS and get a bill for the taxes on that W-2 plus interest and possible penalties.

The correct thing to do is to file an amended 2005 return.
