I am single and this will be the First VDay I will be single since I was 17 but it really doesn't bother me

Is it me or do you all think it is a little over rated you can show someone you love them on any day of the year (All year round would be better well for us girls anyway ay?)

everyday is made up to be something it's not, love is within, it's always there, not just on a man made holiday

Yes Valentines is a little over rated, but I used to show my Girlfriend how much I loved her all the time, flowers for no reason, everything and more. But I took Valentines as a day to give her even more then I would normaly. But Im single now..... she left me for a marine. Oh well.... guess that saves me a bit of money.

I think Valentines Day is way over rated. I would think being single would be a great thing. I prefer to show my love to the ladies in my life throughout the year.

I am so unconcerned about being single that I & all my single mates are going ice skating & then out to the local chinese for the eve of the Thursday 15th. In a celebration of Singledom!!!!! Problem is, I sent out the invites to all my single friends & realised that THEY'RE ALL MALE!! What am I doing wrong to have 7, good looking, funny, warm hearted, caring single men as my friends & I've been single for 3 years & not 1 is interested in me!!! WHERE AM I GOING WRONG??

Been single for ten years and V-Day is a day to tell myself that I love me, that I am adorable, desirable, lovely and a great person. But I do that everyday., Celebrate V-day with a smile whether alone or not. Remember it was only created to sell some`chocolates that will make you fat anyway. Enjoy everyday and celebrate the great person you are inside and through without them darn chocalates.

I think it's turned into a load of over-rated commercial garbage. I'm single and I really don't care. At least I don't feel like I HAVE to buy a card and a present for anyone.

well im not concerned bout being single on val day, but it does bring back memories from last yr and that kinda just bums me out. but its all good, and yes i think this is so over rated. its just to get money out of people and so flower shops can make up for all there losses thru out the yr.

I say if you are single on Valentines day, treat yourself to a Manicure and a Pedicure or just do something nice for yourself.
Valentines day has gotten to be overrated.

It's way over-rated. Me and husband don't bother anymore. I think it's sad that people without partners are made to feel like "lepers" on the day.

Yes I can relate to you and I do agree it is like any other day but it would be very nice if someone can give you a rose and make you feel even more special.

Not really ..... I am only reminded when all my friends that are in couples cant do anything with me on the 14th of Feb.....
Anyway.... I will probably get a pizza delivered and rent a DVD and snuggle up on the sofa all on my own.....
