those who do not believe in a god, have nothing to trust or depend on, because:

humans can change

rules can be re written

life is constantly changing

nothing is eternal and if nothing is eternal...nothing is worth complete trust.

How do you handle it?

What you have just mentioned is almost exactly what the Buddha said... but in a modern down to earth way of expression! Incredible!

The Buddha said that Life is impermanent which means reality is like a flowing river, ever changing but yet appears the same or permanent.

You a buddhist?

Add: In response to some posts... even God is changing... his personality from the Old Testament to the New... not subtle change, very obvious change. Old Testament rules to New..ALSO changed.... if that can be changed... I dont see why within a few thousand year in the future the "rules" of One Way One Truth...won't change again

You are mentioning material things. Things concerning eternity and our souls is real and worth the sacrifice of following Jesus.

My ex is an Atheist. He didn't believe in such things. Fortunately, they believe in what they see and hear and touch and smell. Proven facts, not theory. Therefore, they find a happy medium and move on from there.

Two choices. Trust in the sky pixie...or deal with reality.
