Evolutionary theory. The Greek philosopher Anaxiamander had the idea that beings change over time 600 years before the birth of Christ supposedly took place. Aristotle had a similar theory later on.

Christianity. The first convincing exposition of a mechanism by which evolutionary change could occur was not proposed until Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace jointly presented the theory of evolution by natural selection to the Linnean Society of London in separate papers in 1858. Shortly after, the publication of Darwin's On the Origin of Species popularized and provided detailed support for the theory.

Charles Darwin is only famous because HE came up with the idea first, and that was in the 1800's. That's 1800 years AFTER Christianity began.

Christianity is. It goes back almost 2,000 years. The concept of evolution only goes back to about 1850 or so. Evolution itself goes back about 2 billion years, since life appeared on Earth, but it took until Charles Darwin to recognize it scientifically.

I think the ancient Greeks theorised about evolution of species so evolution is older.
edit- I noted the thumbs down and assumed some people might be better informed than me so I checked up and found that Hippocrates, Aristotle, Theophrastus, Dioscorides, Pliny, and Galen all studied and theorised on natural selection within species so I was right enough.
