I would just wet a Qtip! I also wouldn't worry too much about it, I bet she doesn't like the dirt in her nose just as much as you. Cats are very independent, she will prob. manage to get it out herself.

You have to take her to the Vet. Cats have very small vessels in there nose, and if you break one you will have more of a problem other than your cat not breathing well. Also as well, I have 2 cats and they get dirty yes, but they breathe ok, I think her breathing might be more of an underlying condition.
My opinion and what I would do is to take her to the vet.

i have a 6 month old kitten and she is always getting dirt and things from the garden up her nose, so i use cotton buds. wet the ends and clean around the nostrils, dont put them or anything up your cats nose, just where you can get the cotton bud without having to push it up the nostrils. if you are still unable to get it all out , dont worry as it will all come out when your cat sneezes.

use a warm dampened wash cloth and clean gently around the area. If she will let you gently use a finger nail, you can chip out any crust around her nose... but truly, she must have a cold since kitties usually keep their noses quite clean unless there is kitty snot crusting there. She might need a quick vet visit.

Maybe you can use a Q-tip or you can take her to a vet because you don't want her to have any lung issues or infections so try both and see what happens.. Good Luck!

Try a qtip with nasal saline on it, you can get it in the pharmacy section of the store and it's real inexpensive.
