I would like to let them have free will but I would make things hard for them to see how they would react. Just for pure entertainment purposes. What fun would creating a universe be if you couldn't mess with them a little bit?

It's hard work realising your God-status, but this is what I believe is your ultimate goal, as the creator of your own universe:
1. To create each being within your universe to be living a state of utopia.
2. To create yourself simultaneously experiencing the utopia of each being, all at once.
3. To create each being having realised their God-status, creating their own universe of beings creating their own universe, and so on, ad infinitum.
What you end up with is an ever-increasing sense of bliss as the universe expands for an eternity stemming from you as a node. A God created you to do this -- a God in the infinite pyramid of Gods.
Creation is done via thought -- nothing more. There's a lag time however. You created this lag time in order to fine tune your creative abilities.
Just my beliefs.

I believe if we create a universe, we are obligated to one of two courses of action:
1. Laissez-faire -- Total hands off. Observation only. No miracles, no personal appearances, no encouraging or discouraging any aspect of it.
2. Total maintence -- Any species that becomes intelligent is immediately and absolutely provided all that it needs for a peaceful living style. All miracles must be applied in a fair and consistant manner, to the point that they would practically appear as if they were natural law.

Well, I guess you have to decide what to do when what you create threatens itself and the universe.
You also have to decide what to do if what you created varied WILDLY from your anticipated plans.
I mean you legacy is always there in your face.
Think of Eisenhower picking Earl Warren to run the Supreme Court and than getting Miranda, Roe v Wade, unanimous school desegretation. All the History books reminded Eisenhower of his choice.
Imagine Ronald Reagan making Ralph Nader head of the Interior department or head of the FTC.
You have to decide what you'd do.
Especially if YOUR CREATION threatened YOUR OWN UNIVERSE.

We ARE able to create universes. We do it all the time on our computers. :)
That said, it really depends what kind of universe we're running and why we're running it. For example, in computer science experiments often we don't interfere at all. On the other hand, in computer games we pretty much always interfere, and often there are multiple people interfering with the same universe at once.

To rename it first and foremost. Since the Collective of mankind produced it.
Collectiverse. Does this sound rightly so?
I mean everybody puts a name to something they have produced or discovered. So why not re-name it?
