am not happy because i will not c him alot we used to be with each other every day i miss him so bad should i be happy for him and will i get used to it he says he will give it up if am not happy but thats not fair on him

You should give him and yourself some period of grace to see exactly how is it going on. If after a couple of months you (or him) feel it is unbearable, than you might need to talk it over and decide.
The most important thing is to give yourself some time to relax and see how it is really like. I am pretty sure that he has a tough time doing that as well.

The chance to work on the rigs comes but once. it is very good money, he won't find elsewhere. It won't be for a long time(it is not safe and it is hard work) so, it gives you a chance to improve your value as a person....for his outlook will change with lots of money. You better be worth it or he will look for another. So, don't sit on your duff.

if he's doing it for your future together, he obviously loves you very much. If he's happy doing this job, you shouldn't ask him to give it up. Outside of a relationship, a job is the second biggest thing that defines our identity. Don't ask him to give something up that makes him happy. Be supportive and loving.

if he is sacrificing his happiness to make more money and a better future for the two of you, why would you be whining and talking about leaving him....
