Your cat is definitely in heat. Good luck with that. My cat was awful when she was in heat. Don't let her outside unless you want her to have kittens, although I have to agree with the person who said not to let her get pregnant the first time. My vet told me that. If you don't want her to have kittens, get her spayed AFTER she goes out of heat. Don't do it while she's in heat, because my friend had trouble with her cat healing when she was in heat and she got spayed. If you don't breed a cat you should get it spayed because it's not good for them to go in and out of heat all the time without being bred.
My cat had very little bleeding, but she did emit a musk that got all over everything (because she rubbed up on everything) and it was hard to get it out.

As many have already stated, your cat is most likely in heat. However, I have to disagree with their advice to wait until she is out of heat to get her spayed. There is no need to wait for a cat to finish a heat cycle to have her spayed. The procedure is not much more difficult for the veterinarian and your cat's healing time will not be prolonged. Besides, it is very difficult to catch a cat out of her heat cycle. We frequently have owners bring in older female kittens and they swear the cat is not in heat. But when we begin the surgery and take one look at the uterus, it becomes obvious the cat is in heat. So make that appointment to have her spayed as soon as possible.

Sounds like she is in heat. Do not let her outside. I don't think cats bleed like dogs do. I would get her spayed when she comes out of heat.

A cat may come into season as early as 6 months of age. According to most vets it is best not to let an animal breed the first time they come into season. It is just hard on them as they are not fully developed themselves. However, I know that some people breed their pets as early as 6 months and it doesn't REALLY hurt the animal. It is just hard on their little systems

Yep, that is heat. Maybe a spot here and there of blood, but more so, you might find a smear of a clear gel like substance: this is kitty saying, hey, I am ready TomCat!
Not to worry, but don't let her out, or you will have kittens to find good homes for... and get her fixed after this session of heat expires.... meanwhile, laugh at her crazy antics! they are so cute when they are acting so silly. thank the lord us humans don't act that way, LOL!!!!!!!!

She is in "Heat", which is cat/dog for "Time To Get Pregnant"!
Keep her indoors until the "heat" passes and then take her to the nearest/cheapest vet & GET HER SPAYED!!!
The world does NOT need more homeless animals (unless they are on the ENDANGERED SPECIES list).
