I feed my kitten (about 10 weeks old) by the directions on the back of the package. I am feeding IAMS right now. But she is constantly at the food bowl meowing and crying for more. She will even get up on my plate when i am eating to get my food. Is the food i am feeding her bad or do i need to feed her more? this has been going on since i got her... about 3 weeks ago. Help!! She is out of control!

Iam's dry food is 2/3 corn and is not providing adequate nutrition nor satisfying the kitten. Use a quality canned food with her. Natural Balance, Wellness, Lick Your Chops etc. More expensive ones of high quality are Prairie, By Nature Organics.

For dry foods use Natural Balance, Solid Gold, CA Natural. The kitten can use both.

Dry cat food is a great "convenience" for cat owners and most of them do not provide the nutrition a cat or kitten needs. Foods need to be 60% high quality meat protein.

She should be eating a KITTEN FORMULA food. If you are feeding her adult food, she may not be getting enough of certain things. Kitten food is designed to give what she needs while growing.

Some kittens need to eat more than others. You should feed her more if she needs it - just keep an eye on her weight and have her checked by a vet regularly. If you do not feed her enough as she grows, other health problems could develop.

Always make sure she has all the clean, fresh water she needs. Many cats are able to eat only what they need. My cats always ate what they needed and I left them a full bowl of food so they could eat when they were hungry. Mine never got too heavy and there was no need to drop the quantity of their food. If a cat gains too much weight, then you can consider other strategies.

We keep dry food out for Kitty all day, she never overeats. We also feed her 2 (3oz) cans of Iams a day kitten food) We always go with Iams wet and dry. Vet said at this age she could have 3 cans of wet food a day since she is growing, the older she gets the less she will eat. Cut back then

Since the kitten is still young, I would feed her whenever she wants it. I left a food bowl down for my kittens all the time and kept it full. Unlike dogs, most cats only eat until they are full, they do not gorge themselves.

You are supposed to feed kittens as much as they want. Don't give them too much can food, though. They will become spoiled and refuse to eat dry food later on. Also, dry food is good for their teeth.

ive been advised by my vet to steer clear of iams . i used to feed it to my cats and one of them had to be operated on due to stomach blockage. changed her diet she was fine after that. you shouldnt give in to ur cat if it wants food all the time half a large tin per day should b plenty. and dont leave its bowl out all day empty when its ate al its food u should take the bowl away.it helps stop them wanting food all the time

She is a kitten. She needs more food than usaul, but if you gine her more filling food she will eat it better. Wet food is better than dry food . When Pumkin( my cat 01) was a kitten i mixed dry food with wet food and she eats marvolus.

you might want to talk to her vet, as this is a sign of increased appetite. if she used to eat fine with the food you gave her, then you do need to get her some help...
