best answer that i can give is that something is lacking in their own relationship.
I only cheated once, it wasn't sexual, just dating behind boyfriends back.
Didn't make it right, but I owned up to it, and the reason I did it was because I felt lonely, and he wasn't treating me very well. He cheated on me a few times, and he hit me , so in a way I feel it was justified.
And yes, they don't really care who they hurt in the process, because they are only worried about how 'they' feel.
