I used Elidel (non-steroid) on my daughter when she was that young. It may require a doctor's prescription though. Aveeno has a baby-excema cream that helps, but not as effective.

The treatment of eczema consists of two phases:

Phase one:
Reduce the inflammation. Usually this involves a prescription cream from your doctor containing either a topical steroid like hydrocortisone, or a nonsteroid agent like Elidel or Protopic (these are very expensive and do not work as quickly as the steroid creams do). In order to prevent any side effects, especially with little babies, a weaker steroid like hydrocortisone should be considered rather than a potent steroid like betamethasone or mometasone (Elocon) unless the milder steroid is not effective. One should use the steroids only for a short time, usually just a few days should reduce the rash. Steroid creams should be avoided anywhere near the eyes.

Phase two:
Once the acute inflammation is settled, further eczema outbreaks can be prevented by reducing irritation of the skin and keeping the skin moist. Suggestions:
-moisturize after each bath. Be sure to pat dry with a towel instead of rubbing, as that will irritate the skin more. Before the skin has had a chance to dry completely, apply a hypoallergenic moisturizing cream (not a lotion, as there is too much water content in a lotion, it will just evaporate). You may need to go with a slightly greasier agent like glaxal base.
-minimal soap with bathing. If you must use a soap, use a mild detergent like Dove rather than stronger detergents like Zest or Ivory.
-use a smaller amount of detergent in your washing machine, or do an extra rinse cycle so there is less residual detergent in baby's clothes. This can be a skin irritant as well.

Bactroban is a good general antibacterial ointment for acute cuts and burns, but is not effective against eczema.

Bactroban is for a bacterial infection....not necessary. My son suffers from severe excema. I put mineral oil on his body before i bathe him. His dr sd to only bathe him 1 to 2 times per week because water dries out the skin and can cause more rashes. Immediately after his lukewarm bath i creme him up real good. I've tried every creme there is. The best one I've found is called Vanicream. Pharmacists use it to make compound meds. Ask for it in your pharmacy. Don't use any products with fragrance in it...it tends to aggravate it. I use Dove sensitive skin soap in his bath. Good luck. Excema does get better as they get older!!

Better take him to the pediatrician and to be prepared in case of a future or continuing problem, ask him for a written referral at that time for a dermatologist. It might not be excema, but something that allot of babies get. But you want to be sure and prepared for the future, and specialists often only accept patients referred by primary care physicians..

Just use an intese moisturizing cream. Eucerin is great and years ago it was a perscription only cream for excema. Do not use baby oil. It can actually make it worse b/c it tends to clog pores.

It's good that you are focusing your sexual release on this girl and not yourself. But be respectful. Don't look at her as merely a sex object. And -- it's old-fashioned, but proven through time - no sex before marriage. This might mean some jerking off until then, but it's well worth the wait!
