My face has always been mostly clear my whole life. If I got a pimple is was like one every month if not longer. Well now they are popping up like every other day. What could have happend to make me start breaking out? How do I make it go away?

Nothing in my life has changed. I'm not stressed, I really don't eat sweets and I don'think it is genetic. My mom or dad never really has had the problem. Or my sister.

stress, hormonal changes, excess oil, genetic predisposition.. if the problem can not be taken care of by over-the-counter remedies, see your dermatologist. i've used a prescription face cream for two years now and am very happy with the results. the only thing about prescription creams is that when you first start using it, it will cause the oils in your skin to surface causing excess pimples - but they soon go away if you continue using the product as prescribed.

ok, i read your update - how old are you? are you on any medication?

i hope that helps!

It might not be pimples, it could be Rosacea. Not many people know about Rosacea but is a serious skin condition that affects the blood vessels of the skin. Mainy the cheeks, forhead and chin areas. Some people will get little watery kind of white heads that seem to go along with Rosacea. The exact look and severity of Rosacea varies from person to person. But if you never had acne before and all of the sudden you have it, I would highly recommend you look into the subject and consult a dermatologist. While there is no cure, you can treat symptoms. It becomes permanent if you don't deal with it. Good luck and here is a link with more info. You can at least check and see if this might be what you are deal with. It's good to know.

Many people find a pimple and procede to try to strip the oil believing that this is the source of the problem. When you cleanse your face you strip the moisture required for healthy skin and failure to replace that moisture causes excessive oil production which creates a vicious cycle. After cleansing use a good facial moisturizer and do this AM and PM and you should see improvement with a little time.
