Your girlfriend should be able to go with you to Puerto Rico with her Driver's lincese. You or your girl don't need a passport to go to the Island.

Pimp is incorrect. You DO NOT require a passport to travel to Puerto Rico from the US mainland. That did NOT change with the recent rule modifications.
I agree that it is confusing how she got a drivers license though. But if she does have, there are no border controls set up for travel between Puerto Rico and The US mainland , so she will be fine.

I am confused on how she got an ID if she is illegal. And she can if she gets a passport. All travel out of the US (doesn't matter if it is to a US territory) requires a passport. But getting a passport requires you to be a US citizen

If she is not an US citizen, she cannot travel without a passport. Sorry, she needs to get one first.
