Only consider the complexity of everything on Earth, then consider how large and complex the Universe is that surrounds the Earth
If you believe it all exists, you believe there is something pretty great out there, bigger than you could possibly imagine
You also believe, that it all existed before you did, yet you had no comprehension of it's existence, before you were born, because you did not exist yet
To me, whatever created all that, however it all got there, is God
If people want to call it something else, it does not cease to exist
People were given a free will to interpret this as they like, I dont think anyone was ever converted to faith by anger or judgement, kindness and respectfull invitation goes much further

I disagree-------The evidence is all around you. Many people believe that all creation happened due to chance or evolution. Consider these facts about our marvelous earthly home---
The earth is placed at just the right distance from the sun, its source of energy in the form of light and heat.
It moves around the sun at just the right speed, and rotates on its axis every 24 hours, and has just the correct angle of tilt.
It has a protective, life-sustaining atmosphere with just the right mixture of gases.
It provides the water and soil needed to grow food.
It provides a variety of delicious and colorful fruits, vegetables and other foods.
We also are able to enjoy the beauty that exists in the sky such as rainbows, the stars and a moonlit night.
We enjoy the mountains, the streams and lakes, the varieties of beautiful fragrant flowers, plants and trees and so many other delightful living things.
Our creator also created taste buds so that we can enjoy a variety of delicious and satisfying food. While we do need food for energy and to live, we can at least enjoy the foods we eat. How boring would it be if all foods tasted the same or had no taste at all?
How about our ability to see in color all the beautiful flowers there are? Did you ever see a sunset or a rainbow? How appealing would they be if we could not see them in color? God could have created us without all those things, but he loves us and wants us to enjoy life.
He also gave us intelligence and even though mankind at times misuses it, many good things come from our ability to learn and retain what we learn. Think about all the modern conveniences that have been invented that help us to better enjoy life. God created a marvelous thing called the brain and it is truly amazing. Our brain is like a mini-computer that can store volumes of information and never become overloaded.
Then we have our heart, which continues to work by itself, without our having to think about it.
There are so many good things we have to thank God for and I do each day.

You know, it's called FAITH. We don't need so called "rational" proof, because we've been called by God. We feel His presence and we see His work every day.
All I have to do is look at my children to know God exists. Each one has an amazing "beat the odds" story and are healthy, happy, "normal" children.
I used to work with Christian doctors, brilliant people. The best example I have ever run across was the following story:
Some doctors are debating creation... Big Bang vs. Creation by God. A Christian stood up, walked to the board, picked up a marker and wrote the following: "This sentence just wrote itself." and sat back down. Point made.

Faith is the key to salvation. I also thought like this before I got saved on New Years Eve 2006. I decided to really let the Lord into my life and confess my sins. Upon request by the Pastor I bowed my head as he said one sentence in a different language. All of a sudden a powerful sensation came over me and I was speaking a completely different language. I couldn't stop. I only spoke this language that I couldn't understand but I could feel this powerful sensation throughout my entire body. I challenge you to seek God and He will save you. Time and time again whatever I have requested from God has been delivered. Look not with the senses by with your heart and you shall find the Lord.

I don't believe that the universe, in all of its order and complexity, was an accident. I also think that it's significant that human beings have a capacity for reason, compassion, love, and faith that goes beyond the simple motivations of survival (food, sex, dominance).
So the idea of a creator, and one with identifiably human traits (God made man in his own image) is less far-fetched to me than the idea of everything that you have ever seen or known being the result of some molecular accident.
Not trying to come off hostile here. I just believe strongly in this, and in my case Christianity, for all its flaws and missteps, is a way of life to strive for, and at its best a beautiful example of people united and bettered by the teachings of a great man whose connection to God is mysterious and fascinating.

Because.

The proof and evidence is all around you and everywhere, undeniable proof, and indisputable visible evidence. It is called creation and life. Unless your are blind, deaf, and senseless. You can see, smell, taste, hear, feel, and examine the evidence.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
We live on a planet teeming with life. Plant life with approximately 250,000 species, animal life with over a million species. Scientists are learning just how complex life is. So complex that it requires design. The evidence of design requires a designer. Scientists are also learning the conditions for life; just how perfect conditions here on planet Earth are to support all this life.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
The human brain, it absorbs forty megabytes per second of data while awake. That is two terabytes of data a day. At night, it sorts and stores that data through the creation of new chemical bonds and synaptic connectors.
><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>
Sure, right, this all just happened and evolved. This sort of thinking takes considerable faith, exponentially more faith than believing in a creator.

I don't just believe...I know for certain. The proof is yourself. You live, breath, Who or what, other than God, could have created you? Open your eyes and see the beauty of the world around you, ocean, sky, clouds, trees (of many varieties), flowers, levels of plant and animal life all around you. This is proof that there is a supreme Creator, God, who created everything.

I think we call it faith.
But then science is a faith too.
I believe in science, even though the idea starts out as a theory in a belief of something. Then over time is actually proven.
I believe in God, even though the idea starts out as a theory in a belief of something. Then when the time comes will be proven.
So I have faith in science for the short term and faith in God for the long term.

i still believe in God even though there is no rational proof that i could tell u aside from the Holy Bible because i could feel Him whenever I am hopeless, whenever i am insecure.
i know you do as well, or you would somehow.
i also feel him when i am so delighted, when i am close to nature, and when i am overwhelmed.
even if as of now, u may not believe in Him, do not worry! He loves you! :)

One has to beleive in something and God is far better than believeing in some Cosmic Chemistry set that magically creates everything out of nothing with no intellgent help. I mean TALK ABOUT YOUR IRRATIONAL!
It's FAR more rational to believe SOMEONE created all there is rather than to think it ALL HAPPENED ACCIDENTALLY. That's totally irrational!
