From a guy's perspective, I want to tell you that a gurl can do the approaching if she feels the guy is either too slow or shy to do it. However, NO guy would feel less of a man if a gurl does that. Cheers!

Depends on what type of man he is. From personal experience I have found it effective to not approach a guy so strongly that he feels immasculated but to talk to him and get him to start showing his interest. Ask him questions and talk to him. Eventually, if you use the right words and questions, you will have gotten him to start "approaching" you.
